How-to and utility guides
External profile link coming soonI write the how-to side of Games on the Move. Cross-saves, controllers, getting your setup working on a plane or a hotel TV: the stuff that’s meant to be simple and somehow never is.
Most of what I write started as a problem I hit myself. I lost an evening’s progress once because I didn’t wait for a cloud sync to finish, and now I won’t shut up about it. I keep a Steam Deck OLED as my main machine, a Switch 2 for the games I can’t get anywhere else, and an original Switch that refuses to die. Living across three devices is where every annoying little incompatibility shows up, which turns out to be useful when your job is explaining how to get around them.
I try to write the guide that actually answers the question you typed, not the one that circles it for 800 words first. If there’s no clean fix for something yet, I’ll say so rather than pretend.
External profile: coming soon.
